 | Personality Trait Project
What is it?
This is an out of class project which may be used as part of your unit on personality. It involves students rating themselves based on 110 traits. They rate their ideal self, their real self and then give the rating sheets to several significant others to get their "outsider" ratings.

How do you play?
Each student is given several trait sheets to rate the real self, the ideal self and the self as perceived by others. After all rating sheets have been filled out, a mathematical system is used to come up with a score for each rating. These scores are then plotted on a special graph and then interpreted.
What does it yield?- Trait scores on an individuals ideal self, real self and the self as perceived by others
- An opportunity to compare all scores to measure how much congruence there may be
- Data on personality traits on which the student may want to focus (personality improvement?)
- A chance to study why others rated the student in a certain way, esp. parents
What is included in the kit?
- Reproducible masters of the trait sheet
- Reproducible master of the three way graph sheet
- Complete instructions, including detailed directions about how to analyze the results, including explanations about why the data often turns out the way it does
How much does it cost?
The kit costs $ 5.
